Oreo Pudding Poke Cake

The inspiration for this dessert comes from here. I made this for an Oreo-loving friend… and it could not have been easier.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box devil’s food cake mix (I used Duncan Hines)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package instant pudding mix (Oreo)
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • Oreos (optional)
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)

Mix the first four ingredients together and bake in a square pan at 350*F for about 30 minutes. While you are waiting, mix the pudding mix with the milk, whisk for five minutes, and let it sit. When the cake is finished and still warm, use a large straw to poke an even array of holes in it. Be careful not to poke straight through the cake. Pour the pudding mixture onto the cake. Refrigerate for an hour, top with crushed Oreos, and serve.*
